Suspensions & Revocations

Protect your privilege to operate a motor vehicle
The DMV will suspend your privilege to operate a motor vehicle if you fail to answer a traffic ticket, fail to pay a fine, or as a result of a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) related offense. Your license will also be suspended if you receive 11 or more points in 18 months, and under certain sections of the Penal Law. A traffic judge may suspend your license pending a hearing.

Driving with a suspended or revoked license is a crime. Under section 511 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, this is a misdemeanor known as Aggravated Unlicensed Operation (click here to learn more).

In most cases, we can help clear your driver license suspensions by appearing in court, answering your tickets and/or paying a suspension clearance fee.

Revocations are typically the result of more serious situations, but they can be taken care of as well. By contacting the Driver Improvement Bureau of the DMV and working with them on your behalf, we can usually clear most revocations from your abstract.

We can also determine whether you are eligible for a Conditional License or Restricted License, and advise you accordingly to help get you back on the road.
